About · Rapid Response Software
CareOS is clinical documentation designed with nurses — not at them — by people who work the floor.
The story
CareOS started with a simple frustration: the software on the medication cart was designed by people who have never run a med pass. Every click, every alert, every guardrail in CareOS comes from real shifts — interruptions, late meds, surveyors, and all.
It’s built by Rapid Response Software in Fairfield, California — led by an LVN and nurse educator. The acceptance gate for every build is the same: real nurses, on a real cart, doing real work.
Documentation should give time back to residents, not take it. Every screen is judged by whether it gets the nurse back to the bedside faster.
Fewer clicks per task, fewer screens per shift. If a workflow takes five clicks in the old system, it should take two here.
Resident data stays on the facility’s own hardware, encrypted. No vendor cloud holding PHI is the whole point.
CareOS V3.1.2 is in alpha testing. We say what’s shipped, what’s next, and what’s planned — plainly.
Where it runs
Today: the facility’s own PC. The target: a purpose-built, locked-down med-cart kiosk — one job, no distractions, working even when the internet doesn’t.
We’ll show you the alpha — honestly, clicks and all.
