Roadmap · honest labels

Where CareOS is headed.

What’s shipping, what’s next, and what’s planned — labeled plainly. We’d rather under-promise on this page than over-promise on your med cart.

V3.1.2

Current alpha

Shipped · in alpha testing at a partner residential-care facility

The stability and debug pass: snap-tile dashboard widgets, offline TOTP two-factor sign-in, Care Plans, Face Sheets, and Medical Providers — on top of the eMAR, myShift notes, and CareBoard.

  • eMAR / myMedPass with priority tags and guardrails
  • myShift notes with presets, undo, and backdating
  • CareBoard with alerts-first layout and minimizable timer
M2

Assessments

In progress · next milestone

A dedicated assessments layer: a form builder, roughly 25 prebuilt assessments (fall risk, skin, pain, ADLs, elopement risk, and more), Change of Condition documentation, and an Admission Wizard.

  • Sign/lock lifecycle with password/PIN gates
  • Strike-out with mandatory reason for invalid entries
  • Only licensed staff can sign; signed documentation seals permanently
V4

myShift, redesigned

Planned

Progress notes rebuilt around how nurses actually chart: POC-style ADL and behavior charting tied directly to the care plan — plus a dedicated Risk Management module for falls and incidents.

V5

Admin, narcotics & support polish

Planned

Admin interface cleanup, printable narcotic logs, witnessed wasting workflows, and a more polished support experience.

V6

Multi-cart sync

Tentative · first stable build

Multiple carts syncing to one encrypted on-facility database over the local network, with real 3-2-1 backups. This is the milestone we consider the first full stable build — the one ready for full-shift testing across all three shifts.

V7

On-facility AI

Planned · gated on quality validation

An on-facility AI assistant running on open-weight models (Meta’s Glimmer 30B class) on a single GPU box — drafting notes, helping complete structured assessments — with PHI never leaving the building. Nurse Buddy becomes a built-in part of CareOS.

Follow along.
